Train smart. Train safe.
Hytro is built to make Blood Flow Restriction safe and effective for your training and recovery - with the BFR mechanism built into every product. A few simple rules keep every session exactly that.
General safety.
Let your body adjust.
New to BFR? Begin with lighter loads or shorter durations and build over time. Follow the designated Hytro protocols for the best use and outcomes with your product.
Training and recovery. That's it.
Hytro products are engineered for safe BFR during training or recovery. They are not to be worn restricted for prolonged periods outside those use cases or the recommended protocols.
Listen to your body.
Discomfort that builds with work is normal - pain is not. If anything feels wrong, release the straps immediately and stop the session.
BFR Shorts

Correct fit matters.
The shorts should be snug but not restrictive. When you tighten the straps you should feel firm pressure - not discomfort or pain.
Positioning is key.
Straps sit at the top of the thigh. Avoid strapping too tightly, or too low on the leg.
BFR Tees
Shop Tees
Comfortable fit.
Like the Shorts, the Tee should feel secure but not restrictive. Adjust the arm straps to apply even pressure at the top of the arms.
Avoid over-tightening.
You should still be able to perform exercises without tingling or loss of movement. If you notice these signs, stop and adjust.
When to speak to a professional first.
BFR training is safe for most healthy individuals. Seek medical advice before using Hytro if any of the following apply to you.
Including elevated blood pressure, diabetes or blood clots.
Check with your clinician before any BFR use.
If you are still recovering - or have an infection of the skin or limb - and have not yet been cleared for rehabilitation and recovery.
When in doubt, ask first.
Use caution when stacking BFR with other training or recovery interventions.
If in doubt, consult your healthcare professional before starting BFR with Hytro. Your safety and performance go hand in hand - ease into it, and you set yourself up for success.
