Professional cycling has always been a sport of fine margins. But in today's peloton, where race schedules are relentless, and competition is tighter than ever, what happens after the finish line can be just as important as what happens during the race itself.
That is why we are excited to announce the expansion of our partnership with Soudal Quick-Step, with Hytro now also being used by the riders and staff of AG Insurance – Soudal.
Having first partnered with Soudal Quick-Step in 2025, this next phase of the relationship will see Hytro's wearable Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) technology supporting recovery across both the men's and women's programmes. It marks another important step in our mission to make effective recovery more accessible, practical and easy to implement in elite sport.

Recovery where it matters most
Professional cycling presents unique recovery challenges.
Whether it is a three-week Grand Tour, a demanding stage race or a packed block of racing, riders are required to repeatedly perform at a high level while managing accumulated fatigue. Recovery windows are often short, and long transfers between stages can leave little time for structured interventions.
For performance teams, finding solutions that are both effective and practical is critical.
Hytro's wearable BFR technology allows riders to begin the recovery process almost immediately after racing. Whether on the team bus, during transfers or back at the hotel, athletes can integrate recovery into moments that would otherwise be lost.
For Soudal Quick-Step physiotherapist Manu Wemel, that practicality has been one of the key benefits.
"We've found that Hytro provides a simple and effective way to integrate BFR into our recovery strategy. Whether immediately after a stage or during long transfers, it allows our riders to begin recovery quickly and efficiently. Expanding the partnership to include AG Insurance – Soudal means even more riders can benefit from the technology and support Hytro provides."

Supporting performance across the entire programme
The expansion of the partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
Both Soudal Quick-Step and AG Insurance – Soudal operate in some of the most demanding environments in professional sport, where small gains can make a meaningful difference over the course of a season.
For Hytro, working closely with world-class riders and performance staff also provides invaluable insight into how BFR can be applied within elite endurance sport.
Dr Warren Bradley, Co-Founder of Hytro, said:
"Soudal Quick-Step are global leaders in performance, and seeing Paul Magnier with a hat-trick of victories at the Giro is a testament to the team's preparation. We are excited to add another great team to the family by welcoming AG Insurance – Soudal and be a part of even more big race wins. This expansion allows us to continue to learn and develop best practice in endurance BFR, using the feedback from the world's best male and female riders to refine our technology."

Continuing to push the boundaries
At Hytro, our goal has always been to make the benefits of Blood Flow Restriction Training and Recovery easier to access and easier to apply in real-world environments.
Cycling is one of the clearest examples of where practicality matters. Recovery interventions need to fit around travel, racing schedules and athlete routines. If they cannot be used consistently, their value is limited.
That is why we are proud to continue working alongside Soudal Quick-Step and AG Insurance – Soudal as they compete at the highest level of the sport.
As the demands of professional cycling continue to evolve, so too will the search for smarter ways to recover. We are excited to be part of that journey.
