LONDON, 19th April 2022 – Hytro, the leaders in Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training has announced a partnership with Blackburn Rovers as the club’s Official BFR Training Partner to improve players’ performance.
The partnership will see Hytro provide unique BFR technology to the Men’s 1st team, in an effort to support the club and its players to break through the boundaries of their performance and explore what can be achieved at the forefront of strength, recovery and endurance training.
Dr Warren Bradley, Founder and Head of Elite Performance at Hytro commented: “Blackburn Rovers have a very forward-thinking team of backroom staff driven by science and innovation. Their desire to improve with the adoption of Hytro’s innovative BFR wearables for recovery and performance demonstrates their commitment to scientific practice in sport. We look forward to working together and bringing BFR to the forefront of their training.”
Craig Holding, 1st Team Sports Therapist, Blackburn Rovers added: “We are pleased to welcome Hytro to Blackburn Rovers and have been heavily using the BFR products. Implementing them into both strength sessions and notably our rehabilitation packages to assist the players’ recovery from injury. It’s crucial we get the players fitter and stronger as soon as possible, so it’s great that the practical and evidence-based products have been well received when following specific BFR recovery protocols. We look forward to working together for the remainder of this season and into next year.”
Blackburn Rovers become another addition to the rapidly growing roster of elite clubs and athletes looking to improve performance by using Hytro in their training. Teams such as Leeds Rhinos, St Helens, and the Alpine Academy, as well as individuals such as Sam Tomkins, Chris Billam-Smith, Josh Charnley, Adam Hastings and Dan Norton are just a few examples of those reaping the performance rewards.
Hytro works tirelessly to empower athletes to unlock their physical potential through BFR Training and helps both elite and everyday athletes experience the benefits of BFR through their patented product innovation. Hytro’s BFR integrated straps trap blood in the muscles causing them to swell and become stressed. This increases muscle fibre activation and up-regulates muscle building hormones, resulting in rapid increases in size and strength, and accelerated recovery.
